Pulsar Mania

No graphics this time. This is for real. Real people, real bikes…..And it has impressed us this time also. The new Bajaj Pulsar advert…pulsarmania. Watch it here on YouTube. Some one in the marketing department might have thought about the graphics used in previous two Bajaj adverts, and might have thought to bring a new theme, new music…aah…talking about the music…its well selected here to suit whats happening on screen…like…as the stunts get complex, the music gets intense…just watch the video and you will get enticed by it…keep on watching it over and over again.
The Man, the Machine….PULSAR!!!
Coming up….The Best adverts featured on shethLog….!!

Vanilla Sky
Pushkar Sheth on Sunday, March 9th, 2008, 5:36 am | Filed under Uncategorized
Please note that in this post, I am typing what my brain and heart send to the fingers…live feed…you get it?
…
“That every passing minute is a another chance to turn it all around.” -Sofia Serrani (Vanilla Sky).
Just got up watching this movie on my laptop, after an entire 2 weeks of designing an engine for my Power Train Module. Vanilla Sky is the most awesome movie i have ever seen after Being Cyrus. It takes courage to make such a movie. What did i learn from the movie? Well, the answer is in the first line of this post, yeah, everything in your life is because of you want it to. You want to study? well, there you go…you are studying and you got your engine…..You want to earn money? lots of it? there you go…you are a millionaire…..its in our hand people, its our decision, we write our own story and no one else. I believe this blog has never been so philosophical, but thats the way it is this time, living alone most of the time can make your brain work (rather faster), cause you have your brain to your self. Being alone is a double sided coin…..what rubbish, all coins have two sides….yeah i know but its just to mention its significance….I don’t like being alone ALL the time, but i have realized that it helps living in a hostel. Well, for that matter I am alone only when i am in my room, in the kitchen, i am with everyone, cooking, eating dinner together. Living away from home has made me think myself, no strings, no harness, to go deep into some theory….thats why I was able to design my engine, my very first vehicle engine !! The old habit of asking why has woken up again. I remember my professor in undergrad college say…the happiness of knowing something is greater than anything else, you should always ask “why”. I am experiencing that bliss, that happiness…….or is it …..happYness??
Bye for now

Synchronized Life
Pushkar Sheth on Sunday, February 17th, 2008, 4:09 pm | Filed under Uncategorized
After staying in the UK for five months now, i have started to feel at home. And somethings have just become routine, and organised enough to complete tasks smoothly. For example making a breakfast consisting of 2 toasts with butter and tea. It goes like this…Put the tea bags into the mug, take out bread and toaster from the cupboard, put bread in the toaster, pour milk in the mug and place the mug into the microwave, set it for 1 minute, remove the butter from the refrigerator, bread pops out, place the butter slab on the toast, by this time the tea is waiting, add sugar to the mug, stir and place it into the microwave for 20 seconds, spread the molten butter on the bread, take out the tea from microwave…DONE! This happens in such a synchronized manner that if some one interrupts you, the entire process falls apart, like a flatmate coming and using the microwave. Its just something i observed this morning and thought of putting it on my blog, you can take it as a tutorial on how to make breakfast - Japanese style… poka yoke, etcetera!!
Well, i finished my coursework before schedule, and as promised earlier, i have made the sketch and will put it up some time later. I’ve been making page headers and logos for friends up-coming websites, see the logo here on Sameer’s mail login page. Bye for now!

Blink
Pushkar Sheth on Saturday, January 12th, 2008, 1:04 am | Filed under Uncategorized
Days seem to pass in a blink, weeks seem to go by just like a gust of wind, fast, but making its presence felt, have been making paneer dishes all this time, when i put a morsel of that paneer dish in my mouth, it feel like i m sitting in an a/c restaurant in India, but as soon as i lift my head and eyes point the view outside the window, i see the two of Coventry’s three spires and realise that I am far away from that a/c restaurant. Its a mixed feeling, i feel like smiling at one moment with the taste of the food i make, and something else when i look out of the window at the other. That cloud blotted view of the two spires, sometimes covered with fog, and the yellowness of the paneer makhanwala i am eating spread on a plate full of rice. All this happens in a blink, less than a second. Has any one of you felt this before?

The image below might make all my friends happy.
Jon Bon Jovi coming to Coventry. I haven’t listened to any of his songs intently, but yeah, am not much aware of him. Just remember that one of the groups old song starts with sound of breaking of glass.
This winter vacation I have been at home, have been editing my website homepage, making it look a bit more cool ! Am at home for new years eve, will celebrate by watching some movie, and may be watch top gear.

Christmas is here!
Pushkar Sheth on Sunday, December 23rd, 2007, 8:54 pm | Filed under Uncategorized
It was here long back, almost a month before now, shops being decorated, and people getting into holiday mood, where have i been? i have been trying to finish off my work so that i can enjoy a bit till 7th of Jan in the New Year!
As a kid, i used to open the freezer compartment in my kitchen refrigerator during the summer and stand there till mom discovered me or i felt too cold. Here theres no need of doing that, cause its -3°C all the time, with fog since last three days, and when i breathe, it feels exactly like the freezer compartment back home. Its freezing out here. And no, its not snowing yet, will snow in end of January or February.
Happy Holidays to you all, and a wonderful new year ahead !
